The 28-year-old victim was allegedly subjected to a gang rape at Kurumahat in the Hansdiha police station area, situated approximately 300 kilometers away from the state capital, Ranchi, on March 1st. The assault occurred while she was spending the night in a tent with her husband, as per police statements reported by PTI. Returning to the FIR, the woman recounted that the horrifying incident unfolded between 7:30 pm and 10 pm. According to The Indian Express report, she detailed that three men initiated a dispute with her husband, ultimately assaulting him and binding his hands. Subsequently, she described how the other four assailants brandished a dagger before forcefully seizing and restraining her. They threw her to the ground, subjecting her to relentless kicks, punches, and repeated acts of rape by all seven men. The victim noted in the FIR that the perpetrators appeared to be somewhat intoxicated during the ordeal.

Furthermore, she lamented the loss of personal belongings, including credit cards, ₹11,000, and $300 US, all snatched by the assailants. Additionally, items such as a Swiss knife, a watch, a platinum diamond ring, a silver ring, earpods, and a black purse were among the stolen possessions, as detailed in the FIR.

"At approximately 7 pm, while we were inside our tent, we heard suspicious voices nearby. Upon stepping out, we noticed two individuals engaged in a conversation over the phone. Subsequently, around 7:30 pm, a group of individuals arrived on two motorcycles. Upon halting near our tent, they greeted with a muttered 'Hello friends.' Illuminating the area with our head torch, we observed five individuals advancing towards us, while two others headed towards our tent. They conversed in the local dialect, interspersed with occasional English phrases," the FIR cites her statement, as reported by The Indian Express.
